Red Springs and Northern Railfan Day
Return to Gallery Index
For the first time in 60 plus years, this ex ACL line has passengers once again. Railfans were treated to a 23 mile round trip of the ex ACL that started in Red Springs NC and ended up in Parkton NC. Before this line was cut off in Red Springs, this line used to continue from Parkton to Bennettsville SC and was a major thouroghfare for military troops heading to either training camps or the SC ports.
